I started my bait site on Thursday because I couldn't get away from work any earlier. I went to put up my camera but I forgot the memory card. That mistake will be rectified on my next trip to camp. Fresh batteries, memory card and camera are in the truck.

This bait site is in a river bottom and has always been pretty productive. I won't know how long it will take them to find this site but usually it's only a day or two. I won't know this year because the camera is in my truck and not at my bait site.

The bait consisted of 200lbs of bread, 5 gallons of blueberry pie filling, 5 gallons of mixed berry pie filling, 10 gallons of circus peanuts and 5 gallons of donut icing. I did cook a lb of bacon while I was there but they only got the grease. I was hung over and hungry.

Lost Lake

Man, they weren't kidding when they named it lost lake. After staring at a map of the keweenaw and wondering where I should go this little jem caught my eye. And after looking on the dnr website I saw that they stock it every year with brookies. After a 3hr drive searching for it and braving an intimidating washout I finally found it. I had a couple of buds and some kayaks with. On my first trip my friend got a 17 incher in the bottom of his kayak but it flopped out I have only gotten a few 10 inchers. And on my second trip another friend got a 16 incher, and that one tasted amazing over the campfire that night. I need to apalogize for a lack of pictures, I didn't dare have any electronics on me in a kayak with my friends around. But I will guarantee you that it is absolutely beautiful. I love the fact that the entire time up there I didn't see a sign of another human being having ever been there before.

I just wanted to post a note that I have a new job pending and will be moving to the L'anse/Baraga area......I will still try to monitor the Great lakes section as I can, but will be living @ camp for the next few months so I will have limited internet access. If I hear any reports or I have any, I will see If GrizzlyAdams73 will post them for me, I'm sure I'll be in contact with him While I'm @ camp.....Also, If any guys on here are from that area, I welcome any info on the area, fishing spots, both inland and lake Superior, eats, rentals, etc....just about any info that would make the move easier...THANKS to all.......Jbird
